Our Success Stories

My husband and I are so thankful for the skills Kirsten taught our two boys. William (age 2) loves the water now and just six short weeks ago he was so scared of the water he did not even want to be in it with us holding him. Joseph (age 11 months) has also learned to be safe in the water. He is a great swimmer. We do not have a pool but both of our parents do and the hardest part of having either one of our parents watch our kids was the fear of them getting into the backyard and falling in the pool. We no longer fear that because thanks to Kirsten we know our children would know what to do if they fell in. They also love to play in the pool now. We are so proud of our children. I never would have believed she could get my Joey swimming he is just a baby but Kirsten did it. She is amazing! One on one swim lessons is the best investment we have ever made. I would recommend Kirsten to anyone who has kids.

Thank you so much Kirsten

I can’t begin to tell you all that you did for our family. I feel so much better about my kids being in the pool. I feel that by enrolling them in your classes, I’ve given them a life’s worth of loving water, instead of fearing it. Chloe, who is now 31 months old (2 ½), just loves swimming in our pool. She has no fear of putting her face in and swimming. She even dives for toys! I know that my kids will NEVER be left near a pool alone, but if they were, they would have the mental and physical skills needed to stay alive.
Thank you for EVERYTHING!!!

FYI..I took Kelsey in at my parents today to "show off"! (kept my fingers crossed) She did so good. I took her in a second time so my momo could video. She did better prior to videoing, and was playing and actually laughed while floating on her back. Thanks again!! You have given my child a gift that I can not thank you enough for!! YOU ROCK!!!!

Kirsten is amazing! I truly believe there is nothing better than the one on one swim sessions she has given my boys. I took my son Kyle, who is now 3, to Kirsten right after he turned 1. I couldn't believe in just a few weeks how he was able to do swim float swim. He absolutely loves the pool and it is such a great feeling for him and me knowing he can swim on his own. I have taken him back every year for a refresher. I am currently taking my son Zack who is 18 mths. Kirsten is so patient and she has such confidence in their swimming abilities. My husband and I are so pleased with the gift of swim that Kirsten has given our family. I love emailing pictures and videos to our family and friends. They are always in such awe of seeing our babies swimming.

I cannot begin to say enough about Ms. Kirsten and Tiny Bubbles Aquatic!!! It has been a life changing event for my son, Zac and our family! Zac was 2 when he did swim lessons with Ms. Kirsten.Swim lessons were something my husband and I felt were imperative! Living in Florida, surrounded by pools is scary with a small child. However, after 4 weeks of swim lessons, we can now do so much around the water withoutfear!! It was totally amazing watching Kirsten in the pool with my son.He cried for awhile, but Kirsten never flinched! She is so patient with these kids!! I love to take him swimming now and watch from the side! He can play with his friends in the water and knows how to safely get himself out!! It's more than swim lessons, it's survival lessons! I would recommend this to every person in this area with a child who can not swim!!! Putting Zac in Kirsten's swim class was by far one of the best decisions I've made toward the safety of my child!! Thank you Ms. Kirsten!!!!

I am the proud mother of two wonderful daughters. At the ages of 5 and 2 they had the privilege to take swim lessons from Kirsten and we are so grateful! Both of my girls started out as complete non-swimmers. After their lessons I am the confident mother of two very capable swimmers! What peace of mind to know that in a state surrounded by water my children know what to do if they fall in. Water is now a fun activity for our entire family! Thank you Kirsten!!

Both of my daughters learned to swim with Kirsten. My older daughter (age 6) was scared of the deep end and my younger daughter (age 3) was just scared and would only float on inflatables. After the first lesson we saw progress and after just a few weeks they could both swim. My older daughter was even learning strokes. I now feel confident that both of them are equipped with the right skills to save themselves, God forbid, if something were to ever happen. I highly recommend Kirsten’s method of teaching and the individual private lessons.

Jordan started swim lessons at 7 months old, learning to float and get to a floating position from any position in the water. This did not make her drown-proof, but gave her the ability to help herself, should she have a water accident. We continued with lessons when Jordan was 18 months old, having found Tiny Bubbles after moving to PSL. They used the same methodology we were familiar with- swim, float, swim, with the emphasis on water survival and real swimming.

We had tried other lessons in Palm City, but felt they were inadequate because they taught only how to swim face down in the water, but not how to get air when needed. We call these Jordan’s “drowning lessons.” They taught her confidence she did not deserve to have. She was not able to get her face above the surface when needed.

After completing the lessons with Kirsten, Jordan can do anything she wants in the water. She swims, jumps in from the side, and even spins in circles in the middle of the water. When anyone sees her swim for the first time, I know (again) I made the right choice. They can’t believe she can swim unassisted at 2 years old. She is comfortable in the water and knows her body’s ability.

She enjoys swimming with a family member or friend in the water, but also has fun swimming with supervision from outside the pool. This has been especially helpful since her little sister was born, as I am not able to care for a newborn in the pool. Instead, we set up a seat for the baby and for myself on the patio, and play with Jordan from the side of the pool.

The lessons have made the pool more enjoyable and safe for our family. We plan to start the new baby in lessons as soon as she can crawl and look forward to many more happy swimming days. We are so grateful.

My name is Ana and I took my son Luca who is almost 2 and a half to learn swimming lesssons with Kirsten. We looked at different programs and this was by far the best choice since seems to be the only one where the kids finish the course knowing how to swim, float and swim again on their own. She is extremely patient and very sweet. My son cried for 4 weeks minus one day and it can get tough as a mother to watch that but Kirsten has a way to instill the confidence you need to follow through and continue encouraging your kid to go on. By the last week he was loving and he still is. We can't go by a pool without him wanting to go swimming. I don't plan on leaving my son alone in any body of water but I feel safe and know my son will know what to do and how to react if he
ever finds himself in trouble. I will definetly be taking him back to Kirsten for refreshers every year and take the baby that is still in my belly when he is big enough to learn how to swim. Thank you so much Kirsten.

My name is Joanna and I have a 3 year old son and a 2 year old daughter. I was a little skeptical of having my son participate in swim lessons, because he would panic if a little water got into his eyes in the bathtub. I also thought that my daughter may be too young to grasp it all. I met Kirsten Ongel recently while our sons participated in T-ball together. When she told me about Tiny Bubbles Aquatic Academy, I never really intended to sign up, but I thought that it was a great idea for others. After she showed me a video of her 1 year old swimming under water, I was sold! We've been to eight lessons and intend to continue until my children no longer want to go. As of now, they hand me their bathing suits every morning in anticipation of going to their lesson! My husband is a Firefighter / Paramedic, who is Dive Rescue certified, and he was more skeptical than I was because he wasn't able to give them the confidence they needed to be in the water. After he came to one of their lessons, he was so proud of them! He couldn't stop thanking Kirsten for what she had accomplished. We've taken some amazing photos to show them when they are older and can't remember a time when they didn't know how to swim. Kirsten is patient, flexible and understanding with the children she instructs and their parents. There are no words to describe the feelings I have as a mother now that I am sure that my children are able to at least swim to a step, bar or wall in case of an emergency. And if there is nowhere for my children to grab onto in that situation, I know that my children have been taught to float on their backs without any panic so that they are able to breathe without tiring themselves out until help arrives for them. Obviously we hope and pray that they will never need these skills for anything other than having fun with friends and family, but it sure is a wonderful feeling to know that they are prepared for the unforeseen. My family will forever be grateful for this priceless gift that Kirsten Ongel has given us. I am confident that there will be many more reviews like mine on this site shortly.

I cannot begin to say what an amazing experience we have had with Ms. Kirsten.  Let me tell you a little about where we began first.  Before I heard about Tiny Bubbles we tried swim lessons elsewhere.  30 minutes once a week just was not working.   My then 2 year old daughter was not making any progress.  It was like starting over each week.  After a fall in the pool at age 3 (where she just sank to the bottom) I knew we had to do something IMMEDIATELY!  After the first lesson with Kirsten I could see this was going to be different!  The everyday- one on one approach makes all the difference in the world!  Each day, Kirsten continued to pick right up where we had left off the previous day.  There were of course days where my daughter got scared (water up the nose, etc) and began to get panicky.  Kirsten had the most amazing way to calm her and continue the lesson so that she was not terrified to come back.   She helped Cameron get her confidence back by remaining firm yet understanding and caring. My daughter now LOVES to go swimming.  I have no doubt that if she were to fall in a pool again; she would swim to the side.   Although I will never let her go unsupervised she is able to swim by herself in the pool.  I am completely amazed at the skills my daughter learned in such a short time frame.  We will continue to come back to Kirsten to refresh after each winter and as soon as my infant son is old enough he will be starting lessons as well.  We have recommended her to all of our family and friends.  This program is by far the best in the area.  After hearing in the news the endless stories of parents losing their children to drowning, you can?t afford to NOT call her to schedule lessons!

Kirsten was recommended to me from a friend.  Her 2 year old was swimming on her own in four weeks of lessons.  This amazed me!   The first day my son Patrick who is 4 1/2 was afraid of putting his face in the water.  By day three she had him swimming and floating on his own.  This is after 45 minutes of lessons!  I wasn't sure my other son Devin who is 2 was going to make it through the first week.  He cried for the first three lessons, stopped crying by the fourth and she had him swimming by the fifth.  She has lots of patience and really knows how to get the kids to trust her.  I would recommend Kirsten to anybody and tell them that the money is well worth it!

Mrs. Kirsten Ongel is one the most patient teacher I ever seen.  My daughter learn to swim in less than 3 weeks. She is great with kids as my daughter enjoyed the swimming class a great deal. I would definitely go back to her for my second child.

My son Kyle took Kirstens class. He is 4 years old did very well.
Before the Tiny Bubbles survival class if my son had fallen in the water he
would  not have a chance of surviving. Now if he falls in I'm confident he can make it to the edge of the pool and save himself. I still supervise him when he swims. Kirsten will teach your child to survive in or near the water nothing
is more important than that. I hope your experience with Tiny Bubbles is as positive experience as it was for Kyle.

Sincerely,
Marie

My son, Glenn is 4 years old. He has always enjoyed the water, but did not have the confidence to let me hold him while he floated on his back, or to teach him to swim. He would put his face in the water, but would not leave the steps to the pool without a floating ring or holding me tightly! I heard about Kirsten through a neighbor at the pool her 3 year old daughter swam on her own with no problems or fear.I knew then that I had to get Glenn into a class with Kirsten! After just the 1st week he was floating on his back without being held; by the end of the 2nd week he was jumping in the 4½ ft end of our pool and swimming back to the side sometimes before I even got in the water! Kirstens knowledge of both swimming and children is exceptional,  and I would highly recommend that all parents of babies/toddlers contact her for lessons. Our childrens safety in the waters of Florida is too important to not teach them to swim.

I was extemely happy with my daughter's experience in learning to swim.Kirsten is great with children, and her methods really work!!!! My daughter was afraid of swimming on her own, and truly dependent of others in the water. However, in just two short weeks she has become a wonderful
swimmer who is confident in her abilities. It is such piece of mind knowing she is safe.
